Smucker's Brand Extension
Coursework: AiPOD, Commercial Illustration Year: 2017 Purpose: Direct Mailer
The purpose of this course was to explore the role of design in corporate communications. The analysis of corporate objectives and target markets was the basis for designing corporate communications that use typography and visuals effectively.
Part of the course project was to create a brand extension for an existing company and design a logo to represent this extension.
Additional pieces for the brand extension campaign: packaging mock-up, illustrations for the direct mailer piece, and a landing page promoting the brand extension.
The major part of this project was to create a direct mailer to promote the upcoming brand extension. The digital illustrations placed on a clean, white background and paired with the straight forward message yielded a design that is minimal and attractive, yet still has the modern look associated with the brand modification.
The final part of this course project was to design a direct mailer promoting the brand extension.
